BASLP stands for Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology, which is a four-year undergraduate program in Nepal. It is a specialized program that focuses on the study of disorders related to speech, language, and hearing. Students who complete this program can become audiologists or speech-language pathologists and work in hospitals, clinics, schools, or private practices.
The program covers various aspects of audiology and speech-language pathology, including the anatomy and physiology of the speech and hearing mechanism, the nature and causes of communication disorders, and the assessment and management of speech and hearing problems. Students will also learn about various methods and techniques for communication rehabilitation.
There are a limited number of seats available for the BASLP program in Nepal, with only 6 seats in total – 5 of which are reserved for scholarships and 1 for donation in Maharajgunj Teaching Hospital.

A. Eligibility
a. Passed 10+2 Science or equivalent (with Physics, Chemistry and Biology) with 50% aggregate in total marks or GPA 2.4 OR Secured the Percentage equivalent to above eligibility in regards to the certificate level programs (A-Level) with a different grading system
OR
b. Applicants who have passed the Health Science Proficiency Certificate Level /Diploma (General Medicine, Medical Lab Technology, Ophthalmic Science, Dental Science, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Radiography, Physiotherapy) containing Physics, Chemistry and Biology with Certificate of Equivalence to Grade 12 Science program from National Examination Board
AND
c. Secured at least 50% aggregate in total marks both in Diploma and the Examination for equivalence AND
d. Registered in Nepal Health Professional Council or Nepal Pharmacy Council or Nepal Ayurveda Council as per related educational program.
