The B.Sc. Fisheries program, a recent addition to Nepal’s academic course, is an 8-semester course that spans four years. The program is solely provided by the Agriculture and Forestry University located in Rampur, Chitwan and is administered by the Veterinary Department. It is the only college in Nepal that offers a B.Sc. Fisheries program. The number of seats available for the bachelor’s degree is limited, with only 20 spots available for study. This course emphasizes the management, conservation, processing, and marketing of fish.

The minimum qualification to be eligible for the Entrance Exam:
1. To be eligible for admission, students must have passed the SLC/SEE exam with a minimum of a “C+” grade or in the Second Division.
2. To be eligible for admission to the B.Sc.Fisheries program, students must have obtained a “C” grade in each subject and a C+ (2.4 GPA) in aggregate in I.Sc.(Science), 10+2 (Science), 10+2 (Plant Science/Animal Science), I.Sc.Ag., I.Sc.Vet.
3. To be eligible, applicants must have studied 100 full marks in English, Chemistry, and Biology, and at least 50 full marks in both Physics and Mathematics.
