The Bachelor of Science in Forestry program offered by Tribhuvan University and Agriculture & Forestry University in Nepal is a 4-year course that focuses on managing forest ecosystems while prioritizing the preservation of forest resources to promote a healthy environment. This applied science course provides students with the necessary knowledge to effectively create, manage, conserve, use, and restore forests and their resources sustainably. However, the program is only offered by a limited number of colleges in Nepal, and students must pass an entrance examination conducted by the Institute of Forestry (IOF/TU) and Agriculture & Forestry University (AFU) to gain admission. Upon completing the program, graduates are well-suited for careers in forest-based industries, research and consulting firms, government agencies, NGOs, and INGOs.

The minimum qualification to be eligible for the Entrance Exam:
1. To be eligible for admission, students must have passed the SLC/SEE exam with a minimum of a āCā grade or in the Second Division.
2. To be eligible for admission to the B.Sc.Forestry program, students must have obtained a āCā grade in each subject and a C+ (2.4 GPA) in aggregate in I.Sc.(Science), 10+2 (Science), 10+2 (Plant Science/Animal Science/Forest Science), I.Sc.Ag., I.Sc.Vet., or I.Sc.Forestry.
3. To be eligible, applicants must have studied 100 full marks in English, Chemistry, and Biology, and at least 50 full marks in both Physics and Mathematics.
